Constituencies & how to involve them

Students
Course feedback, exit surveys, focus groups, student representatives.
Alumni
PEO validation (1–3 years), employability, skill relevance, certification trends.
Employers
Feedback on graduate performance, internship evaluations, targeted interviews.
Industry Advisory Board (IAB)
Annual meeting: review PEOs, SO trends, curriculum and capstone relevance.
Faculty
Define PIs/rubrics, ensure validity, implement CQI actions.

PEO review process (minimum)

A simple, ABET‑friendly process that is easy to sustain:

  1. Annual constituency input collection (surveys + IAB meeting).
  2. Committee analyzes input + job market signals.
  3. Recommend updates (if any) + document rationale.
  4. Approve via department governance.
  5. Publish changes and communicate to stakeholders.
